At NPS, we follow the National Education Policy (NEP) framework, combining academic rigour with experiential learning. Our curriculum is designed to build strong foundations in the early years and progressively develop critical thinking, creativity, and leadership skills through Grade 8.

Pre-Primary (Ages 2–6)
Playgroup
Age: 2–3 years
Sensory play, social interaction, motor skill development through songs, stories, and creative activities in a safe, nurturing environment.
Nursery
Age: 3–4 years
Introduction to letters, numbers, colours, and shapes through play-based PYP methods. Focus on language development and social skills.
Lower KG
Age: 4–5 years
Pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills, phonics introduction, art & craft, and structured play activities to build school readiness.
Upper KG
Age: 5–6 years
Reading readiness, basic writing, number operations, and introduction to EVS. Prepares children for formal Grade 1 learning.
Primary – PYP (Grades 1–5)
Grade 1
Age: 6–7 years
Foundation in English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Introduction to structured classroom learning with activity-based methods.
Grade 2
Age: 7–8 years
Strengthening literacy and numeracy. Introduction to science concepts, creative writing, and basic computer skills.
Grade 3
Age: 8–9 years
Conceptual learning in all subjects. Project-based activities, public speaking, and introduction to social studies and general knowledge.
Grade 4
Age: 9–10 years
Advanced concepts in Mathematics and Science. Research projects, debate, and co-curricular activities including sports and arts.
Grade 5
Age: 10–11 years
PYP culmination with inquiry-based projects. Strong foundation in all core subjects preparing students for middle school transition.
Middle School (Grades 6–8)
Grade 6
Age: 11–12 years
Subject specialization begins. Science lab experiments, advanced Mathematics, Social Science, and introduction to a third language.
Grade 7
Age: 12–13 years
Deeper subject knowledge, analytical thinking, competitive exam preparation foundations, and leadership through student council activities.
Grade 8
Age: 13–14 years
Board exam preparation foundation, career awareness programmes, advanced projects, and holistic development for higher education readiness.
Primary Years Programme (PYP)
Designed for learners aged 3 to 12, the PYP at NPS inspires inquiry, imagination, and international-mindedness. Our PYP Coordinator, Tanu Gupta, leads a team focused on building curious, confident young learners.
